Terrible insurance.
Terrible insurance. We have 3 dogs, 2 with PIA and 1 with RSPCA. PIA is a constant battle to get anything back where the other is not an issue. Our staffy just had cruciate ligament surgery and they covered 50% instead of the 80% they were supposed to. We’ve had the coverage for 10 and 12 years and they always seem to find a way out of paying. Cant comment on other insurers but can say for sure that RSPCA is a lot better than PIA
I will self-insure from now on.
We insured our dog for 10 years The PDS became more and more narrow The monthly bill increased to $190/month Claims were rejected, based on the narrowing PDS as she got older It became unreasonable to continue with them I felt like a dollar figure, not a customer. As a customer I feel I pay for a service and the service matches the payment. We were lucky (and treated our dog well) and didn’t have any super major surgeries/illnesses, so maybe that effected my appraisal of the relationship. I will self-insure from now on.
