About Pet Circle Pet Insurance

Like many good stories, Pet Circle's began with a man, and his dog. One day Mike noticed that his dad had stopped buying their family's very handsome golden retriever - George - his favourite thing: big, 15 kilogram bags of delicious food, after injuring his back! After a bit of thought, Mike realised that his dad wasn't the only person out there who found the process of driving to the pet store, picking up a huge bag of dog food, and hauling it home to be difficult and time-consuming. So, he thought of a way to tackle the problem. And so, Pet Circle was born - with the aim of helping people care for their pets by making purchasing pet products as simple as possible.

Not happy at all.

Not happy at all.Took long time since I send claim. I had to call several time to get the answer about my claim. It took nearly one month to answer and finally was rejected.

I don’t feel like this is a good value insurance policy. It is problematic as my vet can not send claims directly to the Pet Circle Insurance portal, which I understand should actually be a normal thing for your vet to do. Additionally it always seems that they won’t pay out on any vet appointments, so I’m not sure that it is worth it. Considering changing provider.

Considering the premiums paid, I would have expected better customer service.

Came into my first claim with very positive impressions of this insurer, thinking my pets would be in safe hands. My first and last claim changed that completely. The Claim process was extremely slow and the team did not provide transparency when assessing the claim or gathering information. Multiple follow-up emails were ignored over the span of over three weeks, before having to reach out myself directly via phone for an update. While it is understandable to have the odd delay, it is more important to communicate this clearly and in a timely manner to keep customers in the loop and feeling valued. For a worried pet parent, indefinite waiting is not a light feeling. A simple reply of receipt/acknowledgment is not only courtesy, but would have made the difference, and would have taken very little time. This came across as deeply unprofessional and distasteful.

Considering the premiums paid, I would have expected better customer service. I will be thinking twice next time and have taken my fur babies to another insurer. It is a shame as the parent company is always great and responsive.

I have decided to move my pets to another insurer.

I held pet insurance policies with Pet Circle Insurance for my two dogs this year (2025). I was double-billed at the start of the policy ($386.88), which took multiple follow-ups and around two weeks to be refunded. Claims were advertised as being processed within 5 days but often took several weeks to finalise (e.g. a claim lodged 23 April was only finalised 15 June).

Pre-approval requests submitted in August required several follow-ups and a phone call before I received a response in September.

Several of my emails went to unmonitored inboxes, which created further delays.

When I requested cancellation effective 20 October 2025, I was advised it would instead be cancelled 15 November 2025 to align with billing cycles.

Based on these experiences, I decided to move my pets to another insurer.

They’re a joke!

Have been with them for 29 months and paying monthly only to find out I’m not insured as they were unable to verify my cats vet details. Only reason I found out is because I emailed questioning re refund for claims I put in in May. So rather than cancelling the insurance and notifying me they took the monthly payments out every month for 29 months. And after I emailed them telling them how disgusted I was they tried to take out another $51.06 last night even though they took the monthly payment out on 24 Sept!!! ‍

They’re a joke!

Pet circle offers 2 months FREE is a SCAM! False advertising. I purchased pet insurance on the 16th of October and then they direct debit me on the 25th of October the full premium and then another $1.00 on the 31st of October! I will be going through someone else and getting another quote! I have uploaded the email of welcome date i purchased and bank statements to show they are a scam where I was charged.
