We are forever thankful
As first time dog owners, we were unsure about getting pet insurance but something made us buy it and thank goodness we did. After much research we ended up going with everyday pet insurance and it has well and truly paid for itself in our pups first year. Had we not had pet insurance, I don’t think we could have continued to do all the investigations and surgeries we did. We are forever thankful we purchased it! Discounted grocery shops are another added benefit which then helps to offset the premium.

Would not recommend, horrible and heartless.
My mum died and I tried to cancel her policies for her two cats. They stated they would not cancel without a death certificate (which takes 4-6 weeks to even come through). Despite the fact that I was able to provide them policy numbers, my mother’s date of birth, name and full address, they refused to do so. I even pay for these premiums out of my own bank account so they told me my only option was to put a stop payment on the direct debit. Yet another phone call I need to make. I am already exhausted and drained with grief plus the huge amount of work I have to do to settle my Mum’s affairs and Woolworths could not care less. Would not recommend, horrible and heartless.
Rude and unhelpful
Rude and unhelpful. I had cover with them for 2 pets for 5 years. I had my card details stolen online. They cancelled cover due to non payment. I called them to ask if I can reinstate OR take out new policy as they had details on record. Was treated like a criminally bad payer despite repeating the reason my card details were wrong and that I had to update email address due to hack! I never claimed once in the 5 years! Put me on hold for extended time so i hung up. Never again!!
Had it for over three years and never claimed
Had it for over three years and never claimed. Realised I was paying about $1100 a year for one young dog. When I rang up to cancel the policy because nearly every other policy was so much cheaper some smarmy guy offered me one month free and started to argue with me about my policy!
I have never received any points on my rewards card
I took out woolworths pet insurance on the 9th of march 2025 through the woolworths app I have never received any points on my rewards card for all the fortnightly payments I have made I have never received 10% off one shop a month I have spoke to woolworths rewards regarding the issue the first they said I have to wait 40 days well i don’t know how lots of 40 days I need to wait I have also been on the woolworths app to send messages and they cant help me and I’m advised that some will call me with in 48 hours but the calls never came and I have been trying since may 2025 So today I made another phone call I pressed one as it stated for missing points after 18 minutes on hold I a consultant answered the call he couldn’t help me so he put me through to some one else she couldn’t help me then I was transferred through to a 3rd person she took me details then said that I need to speak to someone to do with missing reward points so I was once again put back in the queue for the 4th time finally someone picked up the phone just to tell me that I have to speak to someone from the pet insurance team i told her thst I had spoken to 3 people from the pet insurance team and I didn’t want to be transferred again so I told her not to bother and I hung up after wasting 55 minutes of my day and I received no help from anyone but they continued to take my money every fortnight im still waiting for someone from woolworths pet insurance to contact me regarding this issue its obvious to me that they don’t value there customers or bad reviews
My pet was in pain and couldn't walk
My pet was in pain and couldn’t walk took him to the vet then that night lodged the claim on 4/11/2025 didn’t hear anything back so i logged in and found that there is a payable benefit amount to the claim of $103.71 yet nothing has been paid. so currently I believe that this policy seems to be a waste of money. The PDS states that they WILL NOTIFY us but this hasn’t happened
