Pet Secure pet insurance

Worse company ever. I tried to get pet insurance for my puppy and they said no and they were very rude.

13 years or longer. There is no consistency. Customer service has been declining for last 5-7 years. No follow up.

Was given misinformation about what I was covered for, then when my dog had the treatment and I put a claim in it was rejected, I only found out it was rejected after waiting for 6 weeks with no response/ email or letter so I called and was told I wasn’t covered for that issue. This WAS NOT what I was told on a previous enquiry. I wanted to check before I had the treatment to make sure it was covered so I didn’t get any surprises. Very disappointed and will cancel my insurance.

Claim process too lengthy and generally have issues with uploading documents for claims. When I cancelled my policy, they continued to charges me an additional 2 months and stated it a was in their Terms and Conditions.

After 5 years of taking my money, so disappointed – losing a beloved pet is distressing at any time …. now find out that they won’t cover the cost to cremate our babies is CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP – such a total rip off …. these pet insurances are ONLY worth the money if you have a pet who has health issues … I took out insurance for my older dog over the past years – cost over those 5 years was approximately $5,000 And I think for this pet I may have claimed some $500 ……… What is even more amazing is when I rang to advise them of his passing (waiting time almost 45m mins due to Manila call centre closure) I was told I could still lodge the final accounts for his cremation even after cancellation which I did … the claim was firstly rejected as the policy was cancelled … so back on the phone AGAIN for another hour waiting to then be told someone had put in the dates incorrectly from their side – was promised I would receive an email from Kaitlin that afternoon which never came .. so emailed Customer Service to be told by Joy that I was not covered …. she even had to cheek to say if I had upgraded my cover I would be covered for a whole $60 towards the $250 cost … Honestly, they had already taken $5K of my money and then to be told I should have upgraded to get what, $60 back … these guys are thieves and I will be reporting them to the Financial Services Ombudsmen …. Unfortunately I have another dog who does have some health problems and is also insured with them but as it’s almost impossible to transfer your insurance due to preexisting conditions, I stuck dealing with these rip offs merchants!!! Shame on them, taking advantage of grieving pet owners – they only care about making money, not our pets …

Persecute have paid the few times I’ve claimed, but the premium went from $50 to $70 then last year when Polly turned 11yrs it went to $135 per month and this year they now demand $169 per month. Shes never been sick.. feel totally ripped off. Looking elsewhere.

My dog is 16 and a half, old for even a small dog. Early last year he had a cancerous tumor in the back of his nasal cavity. Animal Rescue Hospital treated him. He had radiation therapy and has Cushing’s desease so ongoing drugs for that also. We love our pet and without insurance he would be dead as it couldn’t be affordable. Thank you PetSecure.

I’m more than happy with the policy. Easy to set up. Claims are resolved very fast these days. Usually back in my bank within days. I have had a lot of heath problems with my dog and always worry it may not be covered. But I have never had an issue. When I have had to ring them they are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

I’ve had my dog insured with Petsecure for ten years. Setting up the policy was relatively straightforward with the policy features clear. Claiming was initially quite cumbersome. However they have worked on the process and claiming is now very quick, easy and straightforward. Payment is prompt, within a week but often in a couple of days. The return on my claims have been high, about 90% but it depends on the policy and the vet cost of the procedure.
