What pet parents say about RSPCA pet insurance

Dorina My dog was diagnosed with cancer and had lots of vet bills. All the claims were processed in a timely manner and I got refunds very quickly. Also, when my dog died, I received a compassionate email from the company with a confirmation of policy cancellation. So far the best pet insurance company I have dealt with. Highly recommended.

Joanna Grace Extremely nice friendly thoughtful & caring staff to deal with, claims have always been addressed promtly.

Mark Considering the exponential increases, year on year, that occur with RSPCA Pet Insurance, you expect the claims process to run smoothly. I am pleased to say this is the case with RSPCA Pet Insurance. The claim for my pet was reviewed and processed promptly.

Althom Last years increase of 31% was bad enough but this year they've outdone that. 35% increase with not a single claim made. I don't know what planet the underwriters are living on but they certainly aren't living on the same planet as my vet whose costs have only increased by just over 12% in the same timeframe. Why can't the insurers who offer Pet Insurance offer a No Claims bonus like they do for car, house & contents etc. They know that with an older dog the choices are either put up with exorbitant price increases, take up another policy that still costs a lot but covers nothing or have zero cover. It's called gouging and it is unconscionable behaviour.

Michelle I was happy with the coverage 80% up to $20k coverage. But premiums increased significantly every year my dog got older. She is almost 13 and they are asking a ridiculous sum that I can no longer justify. On average I claim one small vet bill per year. I would have liked to continue to have pet insurance into her senior years, where it matters most, but RSPCA made sure that wasn’t going to happen. In the end, I have come to the conclusion that it’s all a scam to get your money when animals are young and healthy!
